I was trying to find some news report that said that about ANY ICE agent or other secret federal police officer. For example: Where is the person who shot Ms. Good, the woman in Minneapolis, three times? What is his name? Where is he?
In fact, what is the name of any of those federal officers who have brutalized someone? We don't know. We've never been told the name of anyone working for ICE or whatever other group is doing Trump's will.
Where are they? Who are they? Name them. Tell us they are under investigation.

(17,038 posts)Again, I am not promoting vigilante actions, but this man is a murderer and he should not escape justice. He is entitled to have his side of the story heard, entitled to counsel, entitled to a fair investigation. But he is NOT entitled to slip away in the night and not be held accountable for killing someone, especially an American citizen.

(150,643 posts)Nobody has been "put on administrative leave." I've learned that you can't count on amateur IDs right away. They've been incorrect all too often.
I'm sure we'll find out the name, but not from the authorities. They're keeping it under their hats, I imagine.

(150,643 posts)More of that going on, I imagine than anyone expects. If you were found guilting of a January 6 act and pardoned by Trump, you get 70 points automatically when you apply for ICE. Or something like that.

(8,733 posts)What he did was so egregious that, if arrested, he stood a very good chance of being convicted for 2nd degree murder, or at least manslaughter.
A very bad optic for ICE indeed, so cosplay Kristi would want him out of the way real quick.
And, at the very least, that'd make her a candidate for obstruction of justice charges.
ICE needs to be dismantled.

(150,643 posts)ICE is operating out of Ft. Snelling, I understand. Right next to the airport. We have an Air National Guard base at MSP, actually. Lots of planes in and out. They're also transported people who get detained. "Pick 'em up, ship 'em out!"

He was not discerning what constitutes a threat and what does not. For all we know, he was live streaming on Facebook in order to impress his friends.

In a blow to government transparency, the Trump administration has decided to designate Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) a security/sensitive agency. The move further shields ICE from public accountability, allowing them to withhold even more information.
According to a leaked government memo, the Trump administration granted ICEs request to be designated a security/sensitive agency when it comes to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The designation limits the publics ability to obtain vital information about ICE. Now, the agency and its personnel will be less accountable to the public.
Previously, some information about ICE officials in sensitive occupationssuch as field agents or law enforcement officerswould be withheld but other information could be released in response to FOIA requests. That changes with the designation, granting protections that arguably are not within the statutory exemptions outlined in FOIA.
The memo claims that the designation ensures that all relevant personally identifiable information (PII) of all ICE personnel will be withheld, or redacted, when processing FOIA requests. PII includes information like names, duty stations, and salaries.
