Thinking of Richard Jewel now

Last edited Thu Jan 8, 2026, 01:45 PM - Edit history (1)

He was the man accused of setting off the Atlanta Olympics bomb. The government and media defined him in horrible terms and made his life hell even though he was innocent. He eventually sued the FBI and media organizations and was successful but his life was never the same.

I hope the family of Renee Nicole Good begin their legal actions now for the murder and defamation of her character. This will involve discovery. The whole world is watching and these thugs need to know that.

Robert Arnold explains it so well in a tribute:

They can describe her with lies, how ever they want to denigrate who she was? Surely, describing her as a domestic terrorist, someone who ran over an officer, and a known agitator - all lies, cannot be held accountable?
How about her surviving family, wouldn't they have a case that their lies affected them, especially the children.

Survivors may have a case if they can prove that the lies are affecting their own reputations. But in our legal system, that's a pretty heavy lift.

6. Anyone can object any way they want to how people speak of the dead. But legally, it's impossible to libel a dead

Point I was making is that - libel or not - MAGAtry obviously believes that the dead CAN be defamed and that they will seek retribution against those who speak ill of their dearly departed.

10. I don't think they believe the dead can be defamed (in the legal sense of the word). I think they just want to hurt
