Their GDP per capita is about $70k; demanding 14 times that as a lump sum seems fair - some might argue it should be 25 times (that's the "amount to invest to keep your income" multiplier typically used).

It seems to be the original source of the wording in the tweet, which has been parroted fairly widely, but nowhere is a source given beyond "Reuters".

Trusting an attribution that simply reads "Reuters" wih no URL and jumping from that to "Its a Reuters article" is a heck of a stretch.

Reuters articles are routinely picked up by MSM outlets, sometimes verbatim. There's so far no sign of this story in such outlets.

It's quite likely Trump's brains trust is trying to cook up some armtwisting schemes, but I really don't think this tweet can be trusted.
