Vance lies intentionally and knowingly. He's a Yale law school graduate who knows perfectly well that there is no such thing as absolute immunity for federal officers, but he said it anyhow in order to further the narrative that ICE can act with impunity - so we'd better obey because they can shoot us if they feel like it.
