A canary in the coal mine...

A warning to the Democrats and Republicans representing us in the US Congress:

One doesn't have to be a genius to see the direction we are going.

But the warning is this: Under no circumstances should one more penny be appropriated to Homeland Security or ICE. As soon as possible, all funds should be withdrawn.

We can all see where we are headed.

The Dictator-in-Chief wants to increase the military budget to $1 1/2 trillion dollars! Is our Congress so stupid as to give it to him? It would be like giving someone a new rope so they could hang you from the nearest tree. Don't do it!

Because we will soon be reaching the point where there is no return and there is no fixing. This may sound like fear-mongering or hyperbole to you, but I have seen the dead canary.

I don’t want Trump’s ICE to get another cent. Why should American taxpayers be forced to pay for thugs who disappear our relatives, terrorize our schools, trample on our rights, shoot canisters of tear gas at us, point guns at us, shoot at us?

There shouldn’t be a single Democratic member of Congress who votes in favor of funding these thugs.

are not stepping up on the Homeland Security funding issue. I would hope to hear some strong words from them - the iron is hot and they need to strike now! But they are noncommittal at this point.
