On MS Now right not they are discussing "de-escalation"...

Problem is that de-escalation is almost impossible when one side refuses to de-escalate and really wants to continue the violence.

It's why wars are so easy to start, but so hard to end. One side can start a war, but barring complete and total victory it is hard to stop one.
