He was so in fear he stepped closer to the slow moving vehicle turning away, he fired 3 times at her head.



"The officer feared for his life." is so funny to me, because as a woman, if I shot a man in the face every time I've felt afraid, the streets would be lined with bodies.
The double standard is staggering. Society seems to excuse fear and aggression when it’s wrapped in authority, but dismisses the very real fear that women face daily. For us, simply walking alone at night, or speaking up for ourselves, can trigger violence, yet we’re expected to stay calm, compliant, and non-confrontational. If women responded with the same violence every time we were threatened or scared, the world would be horrified. But the reality is, our fear is often silenced, dismissed, or blamed. - Sima Keemo Kazi
