At least two hotels in downtown Minneapolis became the target of anti-ICE protesters banging on drums, whistling and shining lights on windows, CNN correspondent Omar Jimenez reported from the scene late Friday.
This definitely seems to be the loudest protest weve encountered so far
Theyre under the belief that there are federal agents here. The goal seems to be that no one at this hotel can sleep, with the target, in that case, being federal agents, Jimenez told CNNs Laura Coates while outside a hotel which he said was at least the second one which protesters went to appearing to be under the belief that (federal) agents are staying there.
We havent quite seen a protest like this carried out in this exact way up to this point, at least I havent personally, and Ive been here
since the day of the shooting, he added, referring to the killing of Renee Good by an ICE agent.
