âIâm running for the United States Senate because I believe Texas deserves a Senator who will be an independent voice for all 30 million Texans â not a rubber stamp or party line vote for Donald Trump.â

you reject the narcissistic, nazi, dictator in power over you, she has that over Talarico. She's very strong. She's a fighter. She's a protector. He is strong as religious leaders go and attracts a flock. They both appeal to the better angels in people but do it in different ways. I just can't decide where Texas is headed. Not up to me.
Sometimes being a very, very kind person is not what you need. I once had a landlord. He had an employee who would pick up my check. Months in he told me not to give her any money..... she owed him money or something. He picked up the checks from me himself. He told me how horrible she was. I asked him why he hired her then, because he knew she was a bad character before he hired her. He said sometimes you don't want an employee who is nice. I was in Kingston whose main industry other than a major university was incarceration. There were like 7 prisons there. Many of the prisoners would stay in town after they were released. They made up probably the majority of his tenants since he seemed to specialize in $550.00 cheap apartments. If you are not a heavy and you can't trust your tenants to be on the up and up, hire someone heavy. The guy downstairs from me, a former inmate, was a drug dealer and slashed a woman's face on the street outside our house when I lived there. He was stealing my cable (before he assaulted the woman, a few months before) and I had him alone in my apartment to show him my tv wasn't working..... I had dealt with convicts before and was not worried. I should have been. The other former inmate downstairs from me was like 'that ain't right to slash a woman' and was prepared to testify against the first (as was I, he was only misogynist and drug dealer scary, very low on the criminal totem pole). I was so impressed I gave the second guy downstairs my air conditioner when I moved. My landlord probably hired another heavy after I moved to deal with tenants. Point is look ahead to the incoming battles and pick based on what is coming if, you are able to predict.
Not to say Jasmine Crockett has in any way a bad character. But I have not seen her come out less than swinging when she is challenged. And on top of it all she makes really good points on governance and who she really represents: the people: Bing Bang Boom. Every time. She's a heavy weight. Will the people of Texas step out of familiar voting roles and patterns in favour of Crockett who will not cede any real estate to Trump and MAGA? Will they get that they are in the fight of their lives for their democracy and the old norms don't apply anymore? I think I am now leaning towards Crockett. She authentically displays the emotion Trump and MAGA try and gaslight away from Americans every day because they understand humanity, and human emotions that make up humanity, will defeat them if they don't get control of the emotions people feel..... we see the Trump MAGAs try and manufacture new emotions in the public every day to serve their ends. In these times, we need her to be running for national office. Texas, especially, needs her.
