Someone who once worked in US intelligence just outed herself in a UK paper as an anything-but-intelligent MAGAt

She wrote a piece for the British paper The Times, which they posted about on Bluesky:

A former spook who fled the Soviet Union for New York reveals how she has built an undercover network of Trump-supporting neighbours ⬇️

I didn't have to read very far to start wondering how she ever got a job in intelligence, but I'm guessing that a lot of her qualifications for serving in the Defense Intelligence Agency, as an analyst specializing in Russian military strategy and Vladimir Putin, was simply being an immigrant from Soviet Russia.

Of Trump, she writes:

I’m also a strong supporter of our president, Donald Trump. I voted for him in 2016, 2020 and 2024 because unlike career politicians on both sides he prioritises US security and the average American over personal interests and those of big corporations. His tariff and immigration policies are bringing back outsourced jobs; he has fought massive government corruption uncovered by the Department of Government Efficiency; and he has made us safer by deporting criminals who flooded the country during the Biden presidency.

-snip-

Although a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll found that more than two thirds of Americans did not approve of seizing Nicolás Maduro from Venezuela, we see his capture as an attempt to eliminate the root cause of cocaine trafficking that was killing thousands of Americans.

We also understand why Trump wants Greenland for US security purposes and hope there is a deal to be made. While the scenes out of Minneapolis and Portland last week are tragic, we support our immigration agencies’ mission to enforce the law and keep us safe — and that includes deporting illegal migrants.

-snip-

She couldn't have more clearly identified herself as brainwashed by RW media unless she had MAGA tattooed on her forehead.

The same goes for her friends, who babble that they support Trump because

"Trump is our Obama. Trump is the first president who has come from business, not politics. Trump is our hero, he is our trailblazer, like Obama was for liberals as the first black president."

"He is not a politician: he says what he means and means what he says. There’s nothing fake about him."

"He is honest — everything Trump promised during his campaign, he delivered."

I have some MAGA relatives who appear to be bright, who are usually bright about various subjects. They're also brainwashed, like the woman who wrote that piece and the people she wrote about, to the point where they believe things about Trump that don't come close to reality.
