Did you think he was joking? Someone clearly misjudged the situation. Sometimes I think the greatest threat to our nation today is our loss of wisdom. Maya Angelou said it best when she said "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time."

(8,272 posts)There are very smart people in the USA, but they are the minority. We got EXACTLY what "we" voted for. Part of me wants the destruction to pound on the heads of the assholes who voted for him, but sadly a lot of people who voted for VP Harris will also feel the brunt of this bullshit, they did what they could and now will pay. They I feel sorry for. Shit is terrible.

"That's just Trump being Trump!"
"You have Trump Derangement Syndrome!"
Trump may be an enormous liar, but he telegraphs his intentions pretty clearly if you pay attention.
Edited to add: PeaceWave, I know YOU didn't think he was joking. Often my posts are kind of written for the benefit of some proverbial undecided voter who may happen across them.

(1,744 posts)to me since the election, is how quickly he has unraveled. The Epstein files is clinging to him like a rabies bat and even in his own party he is losing support. I thought what's happening now wouldn't happen until after the midterms. happy to see it.
