Since he has no morals, he has no limits on his actions. He just knows he's always unhappy and keeps thinking conquests of one sort or another will make him feel better. He gets his hopes up, then still feels like the pile of shit he is. That just makes him angrier and more unhappy, so he has to go on to biggger & bigger conquests.

Yes, he wants to rule the world, and kill everyone who doesn't love him. IOW, he will destroy everything if we don't put him in a padded cell soon.
