Department of Justice investigating Gov. Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Frey, U.S. officials say

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey are under federal investigation, two U.S. officials told WCCO on Friday afternoon.

Walz and Frey are being investigated by the Department of Justice for allegedly obstructing law enforcement activities, the officials confirmed.

WCCO has reached out to Walz's and Frey's offices for comment.

The investigation comes after New details were released on the Jan. 7 fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good in south Minneapolis by ICE officer Jonathan Ross. The reports say Good had at least three gunshot wounds on her chest, her left arm and a possible one on her head.

Gosh it's almost like the trap was sprung without bait at all.

1. There has to be some way to stop the DOJ from being so vindictive?

It seems if you don't parrot the administration's ideology you become the victim - none of it seems to have anything to do with law and order. We are in deep trouble.

4. They're weaponizing the DOJ - exactly what they WRONGLY accused the Biden admin of. And they're very obvious

about it. They should lose all all these prosecutions, and they probably know it, but in the meantime it's red meat for the base and it makes life hell for their enemies, and probably intimidates at least some people who would otherwise oppose them.
