'My god': DOJ's latest effort to block release of Epstein files leaves onlookers floored

The DOJ's response here is ridiculous. A law is supposed to be complied with and there is no need for an express remedy to be stated in such law. Courts enforce all laws even when there is no express remedy.

‘My god’: DOJ’s latest effort to block release of Epstein files leaves onlookers floored

They quietly filed a motion in federal court Friday to block a new effort to compel them to release the files.

Whatever's in those files must be beyond horrifying.

The Justice Department quietly filed a motion in federal court Friday to block a new effort to compel the agency to release its trove of files on Jeffrey Epstein – as it’s required to by law – in a move that sparked fierce backlash among critics.

“Oh my god,” wrote Brett Meiselas, cofounder of MeidasTouch, in a social media post on X to his more than 270,000 followers Friday night in response to the DOJ’s motion......

On Friday, however, the DOJ filed a motion to block that effort in the Southern District of New York, arguing that courts lack the authority to force the agency’s hand in the matter.

“I’ve never seen a group of people go to such lengths to protect sexual predators,” wrote Shawn Ryan, an influential podcast host and former Navy SEAL to his more than 1.2 million followers on X.

Others, like the anti-MAGA political commentator “CattardSlim,” called out Attorney General Pam Bondi for what they characterized as her hypocrisy on the matter.

“Hours after posting ‘No one is above the law!’ Pam Bondi says she & the DOJ are above the law, & they don't want an independent monitor seeing what they're doing with the Epstein files,” they wrote to their more than 33,000 followers on X.

She was FL AG at some point. I'm not sure of either her timeline or Epstein's could she have some connection to the sweetheart deal and FL not charging him?

She dropped the lawsuit against Trump after his fixer, Michael Cohen, paid her a visit. Cohen is now having meltdowns when asked about the Epstein files and is trying to get back into Trumps circle, likely looking for a pardon for whatever comes next.

The host and Lev Parnas make plenty of accusations and reference Tara Palmeri's interview:

Parnas accuses Cohen of attempting to get back into Trump's circle.

Sascha Riley’s tapes. If even a portion of what he came forward with is true then I think we all know how horrible the truth is. I wonder if anyone is working to verify his story. Seems like it’s just disappeared. A lot of great big names were named by him so if only for that reason it’s hard to understand why what he alleged isn’t being pursued. I’m guessing his story is only the tip of the iceberg. It would be interesting to have the women give their stories too now that Sascha started the ball rolling.

If she woke up on a bench in the park with a henna wash on her entire body, dressed like a student, a haircut and no ID, taken into custody and beaten by ICE personnel and had her pants pulled down and her shirt pulled up over her head so she couldn't see who was handling her... at gunpoint?
I wonder how her perspective might change.
She could start by thanking her lucky stars she's still alive.
Either she doesn't know this happens.
Or she knows, and it gives her PLEASURE.

INDICT a PAM SANDWICH.

It's not even about exposing the middle aged businessmen, mist iof whom nobody ever heard of and many of whom are alreaddy dead.

I think it's about hiding a complicated financial web because even if Fatso wasn't an integral part of it, a lot of other rich guys were and still are, hiding government kickbacks and direct tax funding for their corporations as well as income from other sources from gun running to drugs to loans to dummy dorporations in well laundered accounts in tax havens planet wide.

But I also think there can be some absolutely horrid depraved content that even a MAGAt couldn't stomach.

Did Putin and his horse ever visit Epstein's island? Was trump involved?
Did some people die in gruesome ways, on camera?

because I have a nasty habit of adding 2+2 and getting the cube root of 64.

However, I think even the most ravid partisan hack/Putin asset has got to know the man is on his final lap. They're protecing his financial conduits (and their own), not just a doddering old slob who lives mostly in the past and can't tell a movie from a documentary.

The sad part is that I think they might have some success with this. The next crash will nail them.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_J._Spence
During the lengthy August interview with Michael Hedges and Jerry Seper which had taken place at a Liz Trotta's[30] Manhattan apartment a few months before his death, Spence alluded to more intricate involvements. "All this stuff you've uncovered, to be honest with you, is insignificant compared to other things I've done. But I'm not going to tell you those things, and somehow the world will carry on."[27] Shortly before that in a phone call with Trotta, during which she had urged Spence to turn himself in to the authorities who wanted him for questioning, he had also retorted that they wouldn't be able to "solve the big thing".[16]
