I know, they fear the MAGA base. However, the more Trump's insane shitshow continues, the more we are looking at a blue Tsunami of 1932 proportions.
If they impeached and removed Trump next week, November is a long way away and voters have a short memory. They could pivot to their tax and spend liberals, family values , usual BS.
If they stick with Trump, I literally don't know how they have any credibility with a majority of voters or what they will run on.

(1,270 posts)Most of the Representatives would lose their primaries if they crossed him. Most will survive in '26 even if Democrats pick up like 50 seats. More than that would lose the GOP primary if they ousted him.

The idea the GOP is filled with Alpha males has been completely debunked. The GOP is full of Beta clucks that are deeply broken at this point. I don't see a one of them with enough guts to stand up to this madness.

(35,816 posts)they feel like they know Trump from "the Apprentice" - he's just this amazing businessman (in their eyes) who is doing them a favor by being president. He is racist and sexist like they are. Many of them are all in with brutalizing non-whites and women; the rest are watching their portfolios. They are not going to take him out. And if they did, we'd get Vance and I don't think they really care for him as much.
