Trump doesn't care

There's a ton of posts (and some of mine) that point out the failures that have happened while trump was/is the president.

My viewpoint has been that he is doing this on purpose.

He is not as demented as many say - this gives him a mental health excuse - but he doesn't care.

He is not a failed human or a failed businessman or a failed leader. He is living his life as he wants to -- and as supported and prodded by handlers.

He doesn't like NYC or DC or the USA or democracy or society at large. He doesn't care.

He may hate some people and groups because they have dissed him. He does care about grudges.

He does love money and power and trappings. Rich/powerful people from around the US and the world have found out that simple gifts (big gifts!) are adequate to have him change his mind ---- and not feel any cognitive dissonance (what's that?)

He may actually have a goal of wrecking the economy and society of the US and other nations. This certainly seems to be the trajectory and I doubt it is a "random walk." Nudges work very well on him and the RW/russian influencers are very good at those.

But headlines screaming how trump did something insane, again, are missing the point. His actions are intentional, if opposite to what we consider sanity.

Like Trump, Republicans thrive on chaos, dysfunction, and spreading fear; indeed, it’s the goal of Republicans to undermine democracy and hobble the political process, seeking to diminish political participation to their benefit.

Trump’s regime of incompetence and failure facilitates achieving that goal.

3. That is the calling card of the Malignant Narcissist

They are highly self-absorbed, have no compassion, are sadisitic, greedy, enjoy breaking rules and causing mayhem, and so long as they don't have to face consequences, just don't care. This has been Donald Trump throughout his entire life.

I do think he is suffering from dementia and significant cognitive decline. I think he is unable to understand just how many enemies he is accruing at this point, and one of them will bring him down long before his term ends; I also think that his paranoia is being stoked in such a way as to exacerbate all of the negative traits he has, but beneath the dementia is one of the least compassionate men on the planet.

4. I agree. Trump knows exactly what he is doing. It is purposeful.

He will destroy everything in his way.
He will do anything for money and power.
And to please his minders.
