(150,710 posts)I guarantee it. He sees it in the Mercator projection, and that's the map he's used to. If he saw it on a good globe map, he'd be shocked at how small it actually is, compared to its perceived size in the Mercator projection.
Someone should show that to him. They really should. He'll be less interested in it, I'm sure. He likes BIG things. They help make up for his, shall we say, shortcomings.
