Exclusive: Pelosi privately blasts Democrats for vote to hold Clintons in contempt in Epstein probe

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was disappointed after nearly half of the House Oversight Committee’s Democrats voted Wednesday to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress for defying subpoenas in its Jeffrey Epstein investigation. And on Thursday, she let them know it.

In a private meeting, Pelosi said she was upset that Democrats supported the contempt vote because the former president and former secretary of state were still negotiating with the committee over the terms of a possible future appearance, two sources in the room told CNN.

One of the sources in the room described Pelosi as “emphatic” and said of the former speaker’s remarks: “When she speaks, she means it. She knows her voice has power.”

The former speaker suggested no proceedings should move forward against the Clintons until after the Justice Department has released all of the Epstein investigative files.

The nine Democrats who voted to advance the resolution concerning former President Clinton were Reps. Maxwell Frost (Fla.), Raja Krishnamoorthi (Ill.), Summer Lee (Pa.), Stephen Lynch (Mass.), Ayanna Pressley (Mass.), Emily Randall (Wash.), Lateefah Simon (Calif.), Melanie Stansbury (N.M.) and Rashida Tlaib (Mich.).

Rep. Dave Min (D-Calif.) voted “present” on both resolutions, and Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-Ariz.) voted “present” on only the legislation related to the former president.

Only Lee, Stansbury and Tlaib voted to advance the resolution pertaining to Hillary Clinton.

So, everything should be exposed in regards to the Epstein files.

I’m not lawyer but that is something I saw from an attorney.

And hence that should've been Pelosi's angle, as well as the reason for all these Democrats in voting NO.

Congressional Dems immediate response to the idea of a subpoena for the Clintons should have been "Trump should go first" and that's what they should've continued to say.

The files released under Bondi/Trump are a freaking joke. We got 10's of 1000's recently, and even with the whole world un-redacting a ton of them, what did we get? Ooooh, Larry Summers asking him for advice on his love life, and USVI rep (-D) chatting with him during a congressional appearance by Cohen.

Whoa!!!

That's all we will ever see, friends. Trivial shit like this. As I've said many times, I don't think there was any big pedo ring/cabal to begin with, and I've spelled out the reasons why enough times I won't revisit in this context, but even if there WAS? It will NEVER be released on Trump's watch. The whole exercise is a waste of time, and ....... wait for it ....... a DISTRACTION.

Literally, apart from Andrew, Brunel (dead) and Wexner, the single person we have the MOST reason to suspect as 'involved' is DJT, and the best evidence there is is that birthday note, and the dozens of pics of him WITH Epstein.

Make his fucking ass testify!!!

Between that vote and the ICE funding bill, it starts to look like the party is in disarray.

Do you think republicans would ever hold one of their own in contempt? They flout subpoenas all the time and guess what?
