Is Mark Carney replacing the American president as the new leader of the free world

in this new world order?

How long is the free world going to be willing to let the current president hold that title?

From Carney's speech at Davos:

“The rules-based order is fading, and the strong [believe] they can do what they can, and the weak must suffer what they must. There is a strong tendency for countries to go along, get along, to accommodate, to avoid trouble, to hope that compliance will buy safety. Well, it won’t.”

“Intermediate powers like Canada are not powerless. They have the capacity to build a new order that encompasses our values, such as respect for human rights, sustainable development, solidarity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the various states.”

Despite Carney's standing ovation in Davos and the goon's shameful, senile and shambolic speech, there was a lot of pandering to the goon and his agenda from the world's leaders.

Does that count for something? And he says he was the best baseball player in the State of New York
because his mother was all there for him and told him he could be a Major leaguer. BTW @ that
time the New York Yankees had a guy called Mickey Mantle and 4 or 5 other hall of farmers.

But his plain spokeness about the end of the old rules based order definitely makes the case that Trump, and by extension, all future presidents, is no longer the leader of the free world.

My hope is Carney’s reality check will inspire an “I’m Spartacus” moment among the leaders of the so-called “middle powers”, to form a stronger coalition of Davids to take on the Goliaths of the world.
