Deceiving me: bright sun, no wind, beautiful snow but... trying to open the door: -12, "feels like" -15

and this is the reading from my iPhone. The local news stations report harsher readings.

I just saw the mail van across the street. He drives with the window open!

Glad that I don’t have to go out for any reason. Thank you Lean Cuisine and Trader Joe’s for the frozen entrees.

Wherever you are, stay warm. This, too, shall pass. (I hope).

But that forecast is relevant almost everywhere between the Rockies and Appalachians, north of San Antonio.

When I let him out last night , it was minus twenty and minus forty wind chill. (We are on the east side of the river).
This morning when it had warmed up to about fourteen below I didn't even need to use the leash, I just opened the door, he took care of business and turned around to come right back inside.
