"While it’s fun to muse about the FAFO nature of what will surely happen if and when ICE comes to Philly… respectfully… that’s exactly why they’re being sent there.
Philly is a very blue city, with a famous reputation for rowdiness. Everybody knows it.
Ergo: This is precisely what this criminal administration wants to see go down.
The manner and tactics that ICE have used up to this point and the powers they have been granted make it pretty damned obvious that this is not at all about immigration. And, it’s only marginally at this point about intimidation. It is now almost completely about instigation.
They need an excuse to declare martial law. They want to do that for various reasons… however, the chief one is to be able to shut down the midterms…
Which, whether they will be successful in that attempt, I’m not going to speculate on…
However, I’ll put all my chips on the fact that they are going to try… And try hard.
No thoroughly corrupted party that stands behind an authoritarian thug who has committed as many crimes as Orange Dufus and the rest of them have committed is going to just say, “OK. Let’s see what the people think, now. May the best candidate win!“
And, if you think it is just gonna be a good, old-fashioned, “I got my ‘I voted’ sticker today; how about you, fellow citizen?😊🇺🇸👍”, then you really haven’t been paying attention for at least the past decade, or so.
That’s not the situation anymore, to the extent that it ever really has been… (I mean, there’s been gerrymandering and voter intimidation at the polls, long before we got in the middle of this shit storm) but it’s sure as hell’s not like that now.
I don’t think after January 6, and the pardons and the wholesale attempt to rewrite that history by the GOP, that it ever will be again. Not in my lifetime, anyway. 
So. If they’re going to Philly, they’re going there to get their heads cracked, while they’re trying to crack heads. And, that’s the plan. That is the desired outcome.
Because, there are one hell of a lot more undocumented folks all over red, red, red Texas than there are in Pennsylvania… but… y’know… they ain’t Chicago… And, they ain’t Portland… And, they ain’t Minneapolis.
All of which have one thing in common.

Minneapolis is probably the most progressive major city in the country with fully entrenched protest culture.

Philadelphians have a reputation for being confrontational and combative, and very vocal about their feelings and opinions. And it's not an undeserved reputation. Not the kind of people who will show much restraint w/ the feds. I expect it to get "spirited" quickly.
