If Republicans are afraid to go against Trump due to death threats

Why isn't the DOJ holding the people making the threats accountable? Ok; stupid question.

However, if I am a blue state Attorney General, I would be using anything I could to prosecute people making death threats to ANY government official of either party. I really don't care if they have to find something criminally unrelated, like putting Al Capone in jail for tax evasion instead of murder. The point is NO ONE should be freely allowed to make death threats without consequences and holding people accountable might make others think twice about doing so.

This has to stop!

I agree with the principle that death threats are inappropriate and that state laws should be followed regardless of the victim.

But your conversation topic is based on an excuse provided by some of the biggest shitbags on earth to excuse why they behave like shitbags. Why would anyone accept their excuses as true? They don't deserve that charity.

They don't go against Trump because they are selfish unprincipled faithless traitors. They are following their immediate self interests without regard to how it harms others or the future.

Even just identifying the true source of an email or text or voicemail can be challenging.

Then the content of the message can contain enough personal info to scare the crap out of someone without being a threat clear enough for the standards of a criminal case.

And then of course anyone who pursues them risks bringing death threats on themselves or their family. Or the judge and jury.

Not saying it shouldn't be done, of course, it taking on the mafia is no easy task and this is the mafia on steroids.

that the "mafia" has anything to do with it. These are primarily the work of inhinged individuals and Shitlerites. It's no more the "mafia" than most school shooting threats or swattings are.
