A note of solidarity for Americans who did not choose this
Viktor Kravchuk
(This is by a wonderful Ukrainian writer with a large American following.)
....today I want to say something with sadness, not anger.
Sadness for the American people who wake up every day knowing that man is the president of their country.
Sadness for what it means to see someone like that standing in front of a nation that has given so much to the world.
This feeling is not to soften or to excuse anything, it is about refusing a dangerous mistake:
The mistake of confusing a man with a country.

(25,733 posts)The humanity in his writing and his empathy for us and our ideals is heart warming as I try to express myself thru tears. Im bookmarking this as its inspiring and expressed by someone who loves freedom as much as we do. Thank you for posting. 🙏

This was a spiritual solace.
There's been various on line things I read. Sometimes, depending on subject matter - some international posters will voice similar thoughts. They know the majority of us are repulsed by him and his actions, or non-action!
