"He cared about people deeply and he was very upset with what was happening in Minneapolis and throughout the United States with ICE, as millions of other people are upset, said Michael Pretti, Alexs father. He thought it was terrible, you know, kidnapping children, just grabbing people off the street. He cared about those people, and he knew it was wrong, so he did participate in protests. - Michael Pretty, as reported by AP.

(10,375 posts)A good showing of about 150 people. Passionate and heart sick about today's ICE behavior. A camera crew led by a trumper was trying to engage us. Word was passed around not to speak to them. My sign says "No ICE In This Melting Pot" with four American flags atop. He asked me if I wanted to say something to the "brave men of ICE". Very hard to stay tight lipped.
I did find a gesture that helps respond the the "F U s" from cars passing by - the Nazi salute. It's all they understand, and reflects their betrayal of the American Spirit.

(69,229 posts)Dad has just said, we all feel the same way like Alex did. Alex was doing what was right in his heart and compassionate. Compassion which is lacking in so many in this horrible fascist regime.
So sorry to see this young man whose life was cut down by such evil people.
RIP Alex and Nicole.
