It Seems As Though Trump, Noeme, And Ice Have Found The 1 Percent

One percent of people are Psychopaths. And that looks like the people that ice is hiring, at least a good portion of them. They are bullies like their god, Pvt. Bone Spurs. Aside from that, if they weren't carrying guns they would look like clowns. They're just a bunch of goons and knuckle dragging basement dwellers who are are finally getting a chance. The didn't earn it. The powers that be just need someone dumb enough to do the dirty work. I bet anything prostitutes will see an uptick in business when these guys start getting their bonus checks. And I don't just mean women. It's obvious these guys have never been with a women. I'm happy for the oldest profession but at the same time I feel sorry for them. Can you imagine these sad sacks coming in.

1. Ordinary Men

That 1% is not enough.

Ordinary Men is a fascinating book that focuses on an overlooked aspect of the history of the holocaust. When we think about the holocaust and who is responsible for the mass genocide we often picture Adolf Hitler, his soldiers, and maybe even Josef Mengele, who was known as the angel of death. However, there was another group that was involved that is often overlooked, which is the German Police Battalion. These were often middle aged men who were too old to be enlisted into the army, and had very limited knowledge in Nazi ideology. These men were by every stretch of the imagination “ordinary”, yet they still are held partially responsible for the genocide that occurred. These men were under the command of one Major Whilhelm Trapp, who even offered up the deal that “If any of the older men among them did not feel up to the task that lay before him, he could step out.” These men had very little clue what they were entering into, but those who did not except Trapp’s deal, soon realized the horrors that they were forced to commit. They were to round up and Jewish working men in the area and shoot all the women and children. These “ordinary” men end up being hugely responsible for the capturing of Polish jews and sending them to the concentration camps in which they were tortured and enslaved.

Yes, perhaps 1% are hardwired psychopaths.

But 50% of our population, by definition, are below average intelligence (definitionally lower than the median, but given the large population we can assume that the median = mean)

Of those 50%, we can see empirically that they are targeted and susceptible to suggestion by the, ahem, other 1%.

So we end up with this horrible equilibrium where 30% of the country is mobilized against 40%, and the other 30% doesn't seem to notice.

I should have said i didn't mean all of them. I know there are regular guys but there are also those that are way too eager to commit violence.

4. Another surprising fact

Another surprising fact from Browning's work is that while it is true that very few of the mass murderers were held to account after the war, it is also true that approximately 10% of the men refused to participate while the mass murder was occurring and yet there is no record of any of them ever being punished in any way by the Nazi authorities for their refusal. The excuse that "we had to do it or we would be killed ourselves" was and is a lie.
