Put me in the group who believes Trump will attempt to steal or obstruct the midterm elections.

In his first term, his worst impulses were tempered by Republicans within and outside his administration who had a sense of duty to the rule of law and to the country.

During his second term, he has surrounded himself with sycophants, ideologues, and morally corrupt grifters who have facilitated his crimes and committed crimes of their own.

They know if they lose the midterms, these crimes will be exposed by the House Oversight Committee. Public opinion will shift further against them.

Loss of the 2028 election means prosecution, which will compel them to do whatever necessary now to keep the regime in power and protect their own skins.

I don’t believe my thinking is histrionic.

They simply cannot afford to have anyone else in power for fear of that corruption being exposed and persecuted.

And they are in the business of voter suppression.

Trump has done hid best to steal elections in the past. Why would he change tactics now, when it has worked out so well for him?

Too many Americans dismissed the reality the 2024 election was potentially the last. Now, here we are.

voters are on the lookout for it and recognize the evidence before it happens. That would make it a lot harder for the fascists. Will that happen? I doubt it. Few seem to have met the moment and will be bystanders as our nation is taken from us.
