Considering What's Likely Coming, What Do You Think Will Be The Safest

And most secure way to vote in 2026 (&beyond)?
In person or by mail?
Or is there another option?

1. Early voting in person. I've never really trusted mail-in voting.

Way too easy to kick your ballot for some bs reason. I definitely wouldn’t wait until Election Day. If there’s going to be any shit, they’ll pull it then.

if they count any.

Excuse my pessimism, but when Bondi is sending the blue states letters to obtain their voter rolls, nothing good will come of it.

3. We have vote by mail in Colorado. I don't mail my ballot but use a dropoff location. . . .

There are a number of polling locations setup to vote in person and they have drop off boxes inside the building. There are also drop off boxes located in obvious spots, as well as, a drive thru drop off right at the Election Division office.

I have never trusted the mail to get my ballot to its destination in time even though I use early voting.

Colorado has a wonderful system in place that includes the ability to receive notifications of when your ballot was mailed to you, as well as, acknowledgement of return receipt and/or notification of any issues on the ballot that require fixing.

5. CA. I drop my mail-in ballot in a nuclear-hardened steel box in front of the county clerk's office.

Since we are mail only. That is what I do, during election time in my city there are traffic cones surrounding the area to make it safe to slow down and put in box and drive away.

The county has a drop off box really close to the grocery store that I go to. It's emptied at least once a day.

If I'm super worried, I'll drop it by the county office. They have folks standing on either side of the street (one way street with two lanes) in official garb right outside the office doors to grab ballots from you. It's highly unlikely someone would try posing as a county worker in that instance. Literally they use the exact same spot each time.

And we get an email notice when the ballot is received.
I trust Gov. Shapiro will make sure our votes are secure.

I live in Massachusetts and expect to have no issues. My precinct is within walking distance.
