Nearly every president in our lives has given a televised speech to comfort us at times like this

Going way back, it's been part of the job description to comfort the populace during times of civil discord and protests. Presidents would pre-empt the TV stations for a sympathetic talk from the person in charge.

In June of 1963, in a televised address regarding the growing civil rights protests and racial violence across the U.S., JFK defined the crisis as a moral issue, not just legal, and announced his intent to submit comprehensive civil rights legislation to Congress.

March 15, 1965 - "The American Promise" Speech: Following the brutal attack on civil rights marchers in Selma, LBJ delivered a televised address to a joint session of Congress, calling for voting rights legislation and declaring: "And, we shall overcome".

Even Nixon offered sympathy on live TV after the Kent State shootings, and he also personally visited protestors at The Lincoln Memorial in May of 1970. At least he seemed to care.

Jimmy Carter gave his July 15, 1979, "Crisis of Confidence" speech (or "malaise" speech) during a time of civil strife. Although not addressing violent protests directly at that moment, he addressed widespread dissatisfaction, energy shortages, and economic distress, discussing a deeper moral and spiritual crisis facing the country.

President George H.W. Bush addressed the nation on May 1, 1992, regarding the riots and civil disturbances in Los Angeles, which followed the acquittal of police officers in the Rodney King beating case, and Bill Clinton met with Black Lives Matter protestors over his 1994 Crime Bill.

Barack Obama addressed the nation regarding the widespread protests following the death of George Floyd, specifically hosting a virtual town hall on June 3, 2020. He praised the protestors for being "transformative" and urged them to translate demonstrations into concrete political action, such as voting and enacting policy changes.

Now we get childish hate Tweets and trolling memes from the one person who could defuse the situation by addressing the country and assuring the whole United States of an end to the violence.

Something's got to change.
Thank you for your consideration to this POS matter

Who is he going to comfort? His base is on board with everything. His assault on MN is part of the plan to destroy the country. Why would he care anyways? He causes the chaos. He wanted this to happen and is waiting for even more bloodshed. He wants the streets to flow with blood, just like Iran. He’s waiting for a Tienenman square moment to really crush any dissent.

Most presidents would view this chaos as a liability. He’s getting off on it, just like January 6th. He’s not a president. He’s a wannabe dictator and congress and the SC have mostly checked off on it.

He loves this, he lives for this. He lusts for this. His “revenge tour” has only just begun.
