Minnesota National Guard members distribute donuts, coffee & hot chocolate to anti-Ice protesters

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

when standing between the protestors and the Feds is to link arms, facing the Feds.
It would fulfill their mission to protect Federal property yet demonstrate which side is the actual threat.

However, it would require exceptional courage on the part of the Guardsmen. They would certainly be hit with tear gas, pepper bombs, etc. They could be assaulted by the ICE/CBP thugs.

I have no reason to believe that more concern would be shown for NG soldiers than has been shown for civilians.

and well trained actual soldiers. Also, they're not getting huge sign-on bonuses or bonuses for each person detained.

I am curious what instructions they have been given if they see ICE/CBP thugs abusing citizens.

many who couldn't pass basic literacy tests or fitness examinations. They certainly don't qualify as soldiers outside of a Call of Duty video game.

Oh yes, I'd love to know what their instructions were as well.

They are exactly what DHS wanted. I wonder if they were given psych evaluations and if so, what questions were asked.

Throw the NG off, the way this "kindness" from the NG will do the same to the protestors

There are possibly people in those crowds who got the shit beat out of them by NG during George Floyd protests
