The chain of command from her on down needs to be fired, convicted and jailed along with the officers who killed Rene and Alex.

Firing Noem is not a solution to anything. She is not some rogue actor. She is doing exactly what Trump, his administration, MAGA cultists and Republican politicians want her to be doing.

However, each time that he's forced to knock off another lieutenant because they pissed off his shrinking core of supporters, it means that his (or Stephen Miller's) agenda is stalled for at least a few more weeks/months, and you can bet that it's getting harder for Trump to get people through the Senate given the abuses his lieutenants are causing.

Trump's not going to stop his agenda ... he went about as radical right as he could, thinking he could steamroll everyone. The problem is now that resistance is building in areas that he wasn't counting on, as even many Republican politicians are realising that they're not going to get re-elected with Trump in full Fuhrer mode, and it's forcing him to play defence.

Also, Trump did himself no good going after Powell at the Fed, and the Greenland fiasco has the potential to completely collapse the markets because the Europeans are preparing to go nuclear on held treasuries. Gold is up to $5000/oz at this point because of it (which is having a secondary impact on the tech market, as gold and silver are essential for many electronics).

... back when they didn't perceive it to be a problem for their hoped-for re-elections -- and then vote them the f*** out of office.

It will be a very good indication of the way the wind is blowing, if only by numbers.

The entire cabinet from the first Trump regime is gone, and that didn't slow them down. Bannon, Manafort, Flynn, Stone, Kushner, Mattis, Pompeo, Barr, Carson, DeVos - all gone. Or are they? And does it matter?

Naming and firing a scapegoat is a very commonly used "modified limited hang out" tactic (to quote a Nixon staffer.)
