Did Trump just send Baron Harkonnen"s eldest son to "quell the unrest" in Minnesota? The resemblance is uncanny. One's fiction, one's all too real, but the tactics are the same. Lean on them, keep everybody in line through a show of force, make anybody getting out of line pay. I'm not saying any of these Cretans running the show ever read Dune, but they sure are following the playbook. Maybe they watched the movie. No matter, this stuff goes back to Roman Times, probably before. Just the kind of thing the Founding Fathers who wrote the Constitution feared because they were well-read in history and they knew it was a danger. They just didn't count on the other branches of government being so feckless.
