Yesterday, Monday morning, when I booted up my computer, one of the first items in my email was cancellation of a booking of a regular Airbnb guest I have. And, usually, by now, I have several booking throughout the summer (I get booked up quite quickly mid-May to mid-October), but this year? Bobkis!
The school opposite my house - Jardin Spanish Immersion was raided, but not successful for ICI. Now the building has a large red and white sign hanging on it saying "Private Property", and every morning and afternoon there are neighbors standing at the entry to the carpark to prevent any ICE coming there. We also have escorts, again neighbors, protecting entry to the schools around here.
Alex Pretti getting murdered really shook me. It was so blatant. Thank goodness for phone cameras!
What else to say? I'm almost incoherent at this moment. Words are small things in the face of such large changes.
