I wonder if instead of trying to impeach Trump after Dems have a majority in both chambers, maybe they should just

...impeach most of his cabinet until he doesnt have people hellbent on protecting him? With some luck, you'll see the government steadily brought back to the rule of law.

ETA: These are the people following illegal orders. They are also the low hanging fruit. What is the point of having the power to pass laws if the people tasked with execute the law, will deliberately break them in the first place? Especially when they were all specifically chosen for their willingness to indy follow insane orders?

2. It cant though cause the top is already rotten. The bottom is the only place that has potential

If people try to impeach him he will have the protection of the GOP in Senate, House --and all his supporters and cabinet. Heres the thing though: his cultists dont really give a crap about anybody in his cabinet. Remove them one by one and replace them with decent people, and we suddenly can start to get somewhere.

10. Just one problem with that idea--- the President appoints cabinet members---

so little chance that they would be replaced by 'decent people'! Just another "YES" man or woman

However, if (when) the Democrats regain control of the House,
where impeachment charges must originate,
pretty much the WHOLE TRUMP CABINET should be impeached by them,
as well as the poser President....!

11. They have to be approved by the senate. If they arent, they are replaced by the next in charge

Go far enough down the line and you end up with career public servants until the president agrees with congress on a suitable replacement (and congress doesnt willingly get railroaded with cabinet picks like every other time)

appointed "acting" leaders who are temporary---

regardless, I believe that almost all of Trump's cabinet should be impeached
by the incoming Democratic House Majority---
regardless of the extremely low chances of convicting them
in a US Senate with too many GOP domestic terrorist supporters in it!

13. Never said anything about officially replacing anybody

But judging by the bipartisan momentum impeaching Noem already has -even without control of either chamber, and the political viability of the GOP in contrast with impeaching the President, there very much IS a real possibility of convicting many cabinet members once Dems take control.

But it would just be quibbling. You are correct when you said I meant "acting."

Then blindfold the orange anus...drop him off in the middle of nowhere with just his stupid tie...smear dog feces under his arms and say " adios and good luck reprobate"!

We've already rried the one 3 times. Succeeding 15 times has far more profound benefits than failing another 15 times.

9. Because it might be easier to get some Senate Republicans to convict some cabinet members

We wouldn’t be in as bad of a situation if Trump didn’t have a cabinet willing to do impeachable things. I certainly would like to see Trump impeached, but putting together cases against his enablers is important because these players need to be tainted to a degree that they can’t be reunited under another wannabe dictator. Impeachment processes and conviction trials are much more likely to bear potentially damaging than going after the guy with both his voters and SCOTUS granted immunity behind him. Even if they just go after the weakest and most flagrant violators, I think things might start to unravel. I think that Jan 6 and fake electors didn’t bring any convictions proximate to the administration’s inner circle allowed those inclined to continue to believe that nothing illegal happened. Nobody convicted, nobody flipped. Trump 47. In any case, it would be interesting to see who Trump’s second choices for his cabinet positions are.
