Vance sparked outrage after comparing a Purple Heart–decorated U.S. Senator disabled by her Iraq War service to the titular character in Forrest Gump.

Vance, 41, posted the remark on X Wednesday amid a heated exchange between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Sen. Tammy Duckworth during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing, where the two clashed over U.S. military action in Venezuela.

He's the next generation of Trumpism, and he's still unopposed from our side. You can't beat him with ridicule, especially not incompetent ridicule. If you're going to look down on him and his movement (the one he's going to inherit), you have to be elevated well-moored intellectually and emotionally in your vision.

It's so simple. We Dems need to do work on the real issues facing the country and not to chase every shiny object that makes us want to cry or splutter or scold. Be strong again.
