1. In a microcosm, long long ago . . .

Donald Trump owned three casino/hotels in Atlantic City. And he wanted to attract high rollers.

So he wanted a parking garage for all those limousines. But there wasn't enough room on the properties he already held.

So he set his sights on a small property adjacent to one casino/hotel, owned by an elderly widow. Of course, he initially offered her an offensively low number. She refused. A little more. Still no.

She wasn't trying to break his balls. It was her home for decades and she didn't want to move for any reason for anybody.

Now, Trump got mad. Nobody says "No" to him. (It offends his masculinity.)

So he got busy and went to the municipality of AC to get the Zoning Board to condemn her property and take it under Eminent Domain and then essentially GIVE him the property for the limousine parking lot. He thought he could bankrupt her with the costs of litigation, his usual MO. She hung in there and won, up to appeals.

My point: To Trump, if HE owns it, it's forever. If someone ELSE owns it, who cares? To him, it's property, not a home with memories and sentimentality.

7. Trump tried to hire Frank Sinatra for the opening of the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City

Trump attempted to lowball Sinatra with stage/performance price.


Not only that but Trump wanted to axe a few other performers, including Sammy Davis Jr.


Sinatra's manager was Eliot Weisman. Sinatra told his manager Weisman, “to tell Trump to go fuck himself or give Trump’s phone number to Sinatra so that he could do it himself.”
