Newsweek, "Trump's DOJ announces arrest of 16 Minnesota protesters:"

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that 16 people have been arrested in Minnesota for allegedly “assaulting federal law enforcement” amid ongoing protests against President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown in the state.

Tensions over federal immigration enforcement in Minneapolis and elsewhere have intensified in recent days after federal agents fatally shot 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti. The killing came just days after ICE officer Jonathan Ross shot and killed Renee Nicole Good, and after another encounter in the city left Venezuelan migrant Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis wounded during an attempted arrest, authorities said.

Bondi wrote in a Wednesday afternoon X post, “I am on the ground in Minneapolis today. Federal agents have arrested 16 Minnesota rioters for allegedly assaulting federal law enforcement — people who have been resisting and impeding our federal law enforcement agents. We expect more arrests to come.”

For those who think replacing Bovino with Holman and moving “Noem on the Range” out of the
picture is gonna change Trump’s war on American citizens they might be wrong.

If you read the article many of those arrested by the D o J had filed complaints about their treatment
by Trump’s ICE and Homeland Security goons.

DOJ has been abysmal and juries are not sympathetic to Trump’s goons.

He was the architect of Trump’s violence during his first term, ripping babies and toddlers away from parents and putting them in cages, including nursing babies. Miller and Homan are both evil.

Thu Jan 29, 2026, 08:27 AM

these are ubiquitous terms used by the administration to demonize protesters. Today I listened to a Canadian podcaster warning his fellow Canadians the risks they took by touring to the U.S. He explained that Canadians are not exempt; and should they be thrown to the ground by federal agents, flailing around as you struggle to breathe or alleviate a pain while bearing the weight of 2, or 3, or 4 agents on top of your body, will be described as "resisting arrest." Unfortunately, he did not go further to describe that even touching an agent can be re-framed as "assaulting a federal agent." Good job, Bondi . . . you excel as an administration mouthpiece.

You may have see it. The ICE goons are having one of their show off sessions where they surround their facility and act like they are under attack when it is just protestors exercising their 1st Amendment rights. They do not trespass. They do not instigate.

So, one of the goons suddenly grabs one of the protestors and drags them across the 'line of death' they the goons had established. Then, they use that to say that they are 'under attack' and that the 'agitators' are 'being aggressive' and they felt in danger ' for their lives'. As soon as the person was dragged over the line, the goons started attacking everyone on the street.

This is not about immigration and it is not about public safety. It is a revenge move and should always be stated as such. Never refer to their presence as 'immigration enforcement' or anything of the kind. They are the Stazi. They are the Nazi. They are the good squad that the regime wanted to be their little army that is not beholden to our laws. So, they created one. We should have done something then, but the goddamned centrists yet again decided to be banal about the whole thing.

And, here we are. There is a literal goons squad invading this state, as well as others who have not 'kissed the ring'. We don't plan to do that either. So, they occupy the state and force us too bend the knee. But, we won't do that. So, now, it is war, despite what some rose-colored glasses wearing people are saying otherwise.

When will we stop letting those with vested interests in keeping the same situation going on. They are getting something out of this, and I find that interesting... and worth a close look.

Not that it will happen, but I think it should.

saw no less than 6 goons "restraining" one man who looked to be a not very large man also. It looked like they were trying to surround him lying flat on the ground so that it would make it more difficult for any videos being taken to capture what they were doing. Then they could make up any story they wanted about what happened.

Imprisonment of dissenters. Trumped up charges (no pun intended). This is how it's done in Russia.
Here's hoping our justice system and what remains of our free press can put a stop to it.
Let's hope Americans are smarter than they think we are.

Meanwhile, the 16 need to be protected from the Trump base and supported in getting the legal defense they deserve. They are us. If their speech and freedom isn't protected, none of ours is.

They picked a state with a manageable amount of immigrants so they can practice, hire more ice thugs to grow their militia and desensitize Americans to what they are doing.

28. Bondi considers filming "impeding"
Thu Jan 29, 2026, 10:32 AM

According to an account of someone who faced down one of these ICE a-holes in Maine, he was quoted some bullshit statute that impeding a federal officer is considered unlawful and you can be arrested. The man with the cell phone who was following the ICE agent repeatedly corrected that following was not interfering, and filming also was not interfering, the ICE a-hole still held that if he didn’t stop that he would arrest him. It’s all about fear and intimidation.
