I'm glad to see Alex's kick hit home

...fuck that taillight.

People get frustrated and angry watching government thugs abuse their neighbors. I don't encourage any violence or vandalism, but I can't help being pleased that he apparently got at least one symbolic punch in against the thug organization that subsequently killed him in cold blood.

Fuck ICE.

on edit:

...btw, I don't want ANY American to get too close or in the way of those murderous bastards. They drag you back to their lair and have been shipping protestors they grab out of state and dumping them there without a way home after detaining them in their hell hole.

I don't actually agree with this tactic of direct confrontation. I'm just sympathetic to the folks who are compelled to that self-sacrificing act. The jackboots are just fine in their armor and with their weapons and beating sticks. You're no match for them. Stay the fuck back.

“Hey, there’s that guy with guts who kicked our brand new just-purchased with cash government SUV. We’ll show him who’s boss.”

If we have cell phone footage, Uncle Sam’s footing the bill for top-quality audio video gear and the best still cameras money can buy this side of Leica for the brave rioters and psychopaths of ICE.

...considering that we know from reports this week they are keeping tabs on protestors.

I have a hard time believing a glancing kick to a huge Ford (Expedition?) SUV moving away could take out the entire rear light assembly like that. Maybe crack the lens, but rip it off completely? No expert here, but after watching it several times, it seems fake.

...so going with that.

I'm not in a position to do more than trust major sources.

Whether their reporting is accurate, I can't independently tell.

but here...

The News Movement was the outlet that captured the incident on Jan. 13. It said in an X post that it “appears to be Alex Pretti interacting with federal immigration agents” and that it had the clip analyzed by the BBC, “whose facial recognition technology confirmed his identify to a 97% degree of accuracy.”

The BBC confirmed the authenticity of the video in their 10 p.m. GMT news broadcast. Reporter Ros Atkins said the man in the video “has the same coat, facial hair and gait as Alex Pretti and a facial recognition tool suggests a 97% match. We see him shouting abuse at the agents.” Separately, a spokesperson for the BBC confirmed to Mediaite that they reviewed the footage and verified its team did use facial recognition technology on the video.
