A Texas man detained by ICE was his disabled sons sole caregiver. His son will be laid to rest without him

Wael Tarabishis family had hoped his father and primary caretaker could be present as they say their final goodbyes to the 30-year-old at his funeral on Thursday.
But Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials denied the familys request to temporarily release his father, Maher Tarabishi, for the service in Joshua, Texas, the familys attorney said in a statement.
Now the family is preparing to bury Wael, who died last Friday, after spending his life suffering from a serious and rare inherited disorder called Pompe disease that leads to severe muscle weakness and heart problems, without Maher.
We are profoundly disappointed with ICEs decision to deny Maher Tarabishi the opportunity to say his final goodbye to his beloved son, Wael, Attorney Ali Elhorr said in a statement Tuesday. Todays decision to keep him from saying goodbye is a reflection of the tragic lack of humanity by those in charge.

IBM, GE, Ford, etc Basically Straighten up or were all fucked. in a dollars and cents, nobody wins, everyone is worse off in every way, and were not kidding around this time jolt. DEI, 2A, right to life, etc will be distant priorities by comparison type vibe. Everyone is already 1 incident away from open rebellion if you believe the internet, which most folks seem to these days, pop-cynicism aside. More foxholes and battle lines wont fix this. Every death is a line thats going to make it tougher to recross or resolve, if thats even possible at all now.
