CBS News ratings must be declining substantially

I'm not sure who's going to watch. MAGA and republicans have fox and other nutso lying outlets. All others don't want to hear government propaganda. This means the audience for cbs news should disappear fast. the incompetent stooge weiss is driving it into the ground. i believe this is the ellison's sacrifice to trump to get their other business goals approved by the government.


Hopefully the remaining news outlets will appreciate and protect their increased viewership.

I wanted CBS Evening News for a few nights after they changed anchors a few weeks ago. It's turned in a very amateurish news show, almost as if high school kids were involved. I gave up and went back to NBC Evening News.

Seems as though there are some possible futures for 60 Minutes, mu comments in ( ) .

1. Weiss recognizes 60 Min is the only thing going for CBS -- besides sports -- and decides to keep hands off. (Never happen.)
2. The 60 Min crew decides to hang in there, take all the shit thrown at them, do the best they can, slip in a few zingers here and there. (This may be the more likely outcome.)
3. Fire all the 60 Min crew, hire all the dumbasses who were fired from Fox or who left Fox for other reasons -- Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, Pete Hogsbreath, Bill O'Reilly -- move Gayle King from morning show to 60 Min . . . . (I judge this a good possibility.)
4. Cancel 60 Min forever and ever. (Could be.)

18. CBS and its current owners don't care about declining viewership because

the whole purpose of bringing on Bari Weiss is to destroy the network news operation's credibility. Any residual respect or belief in factual reporting derived from the legacy of Murrow, Cronkite, Sevareid, and the early 60 Minutes, must be eliminated.

Turning the network into another oligarch echo chamber is the goal. Size of the viewership for that echo chamber is irrelevant, so long as the believably is shattered in a news organization that once did actual news. Erasing the historical endowment of what formerly was genuine journalism is the whole purpose at CBS News now.
