(screamed while the 'apes' turned a fire-hose upon him, if I recall correctly--
coming so few years after the Birmingham Alabama protests
where white 'law enforcement' used fire hoses against AA civil rights protesters,
there may have been some ironic political commentary in THAT scene! LOL)
