Can an American seek asylum in Canada if/when things go sideways?

2. I checked into the cost of a permanent residence and figured the bond and paperwork would be around 20K so you don't

need to wait for it to get that bad if you can afford it. I decided to invest around 1500 bucks on my second amendment right instead for when things get that bad.

3. Any one can present themselves at a port of entry to request asylum in Canada.

They can not do it after entering the country. This is to prevent people from claiming it when detained by the customs or police.

4. They won't take me

I'm too old. Might have to tough it out here. Or maybe in the USVI, which is OF the US but not IN it, and far enough away to escape most of the major uproar. Getting there is the problem. I guess Mexico might accept us.

5. There's always Costa Rica . They'll take you if you have Social Security.
