I guess that among the many questions I have about this, the one that tops my list is "What is it about Trump that would make one say "OH, he'd NEVER do that," having bragged about grabbing women by the p*ssy and "anything you want" and "getting away with it because he's a star?" Or the fact that he was found, in court, to be an ADJUDICATED RAPIST who RAPED E Jean Carroll?"Released as part of the DOJs publication of around 3.5 million files on Jeffrey Epstein, the FBI tip was submitted by an individual using the pseudonym Tiffany Doe, and includes details of an alleged threat Trump made to a plaintiff in a lawsuit.
I personally witnessed Defendant Trump telling Plaintiff that she shouldnt ever say anything if she didnt want to disappear like the 12-year-old female [redacted], and that he was capable of having her whole family killed, the FBI tip reads, signed under penalty of perjury on June 18, 2016.
The plaintiff claimed to have been employed by Epstein from 1990 to 2000, and told the FBI that she was personally threatened by Epstein in a similar manner to the way she alleged Trump had threatened the unknown plaintiff in the unknown lawsuit.

(3,092 posts)Tiffany Doe is Katie Johnson's "witness", so neither the plaintiff nor the lawsuit is "unknown". Well, nobody knows who Katie Johnson or Tiffany Doe actually are IRL, but rawstory's categorization that we don't know what the lawsuit was/who it was from are mistaken.
Nothing about this story is newly released (including Tiffany Doe signing a statement bearing witness to "Katies" claims), it's actually 10 years old. IIRC, a bunch of stuff about this lawsuit was released in the LAST document dump as well, about a month ago.
Its existence will be used against Eric Holder when the GQP House members interview him in their upcoming "Epstein Hearings" (also including the Clintons, Barr, Comey, Mueller, Sessions, Alberto Gonzalez, and Loretta Lynch), mark my words. That's why Bondi releases docs about this case every chance she gets. Holder is going to get up on the stand and say "we found nothing to back up these allegations", and the House monkeys will go "HAH! SEE! Not even the FBI believed Trump did anything wrong!", and then attack him for the DoJ never publicly stating that they'd found the accusations not believable, because he wanted Hillary to win, etc.
This info being released (yet again) is a setup, not meant to hurt Trump at all.

(3,092 posts)Norm Lubow / Al Taylor Reported as the key promoter behind the scenes: he helped orchestrate the initial pseudonymous filing, arranged the February 11, 2016 videotaped testimony, and then shopped that video to media outlets (Gawker, tabloids, etc.), reportedly trying to sell it for up to about $1 million.
Jonathann Launer The videographer who filmed Johnsons February 2016 testimony; he was reportedly offered (and in some accounts paid) a stake in any proceeds from selling the tape.
Steve Baer A conservative "Never Trump" Illinois donor who sent money to support the effort (wired tens of thousands to Lubow/Taylor and Launer), expecting the video and story to surface; later fell out with them when more money was requested.
More about Lubow:
He started out as a frequent guest (often under his Reverend Bud Green persona), then became a freelance guest‑booker and eventually a full‑time producer around 1996.
His role included finding and staging fake guests, coaching them to create on‑air drama, and (per his own later claims) sometimes arranging women from those bookings to sleep with Springer after tapings.
He says he was fired in 1998 after an ABC 20/20 exposé accused him of scripting and coaching guests, which the shows executives treated as going too far even for Springer‑style theatrics
My best guess is that Lisa may have been taken in by a con in this case. Worth noting that her involvement was VERY minimal and very late, and she ended up hung out to dry when she arranged a press conference for "Katie" and then she didn't show up.

(11,850 posts)It's an unsubstantiated accusation but it should have been investigated and there are at least 4 million documents that have not been released or have been completely redacted without explanation...in direct violation of the law.
Revelations like this make it incumbent upon us to know every single, unredacted, detail.

(1,203 posts)Burying or disposing of victims.... you know he didn't do this personally, even if he supervised. Somebody else ran
the backhoe, dug the ditch, piloted the boat, what have you. He had to have help. So where are those people?
This means a very tight conspiracy. This makes me skeptical.

(12,558 posts)We've decided the verdict is still out on the validity of the files. I don't trust them not to tamper with them. They've had plenty of time to cherry-pick and doctor them up. And if these are the one they 'selected' to share, it makes you wonder what's in the ones they are holding on to. Daughter also pointed out that most of the entries are reports or 'tips' not from actual results of investigations.
