ICE claim that a man shattered his skull running into wall triggers tension at a Minnesota hospital

Whole article is very much worth reading. ""Hours after arrest, immigrant has eight skull fractures

ntensive care nurses immediately doubted the word of federal immigration officers when they arrived at a Minneapolis hospital with a Mexican immigrant who had broken bones in his face and skull.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents initially claimed Alberto Castañeda Mondragón had tried to flee while handcuffed and "purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall," according to court documents filed by a lawyer seeking his release.

But staff members at Hennepin County Medical Center determined that could not possibly account for the fractures and bleeding throughout the 31-year-old's brain, said three nurses familiar with the case.

Castañeda Mondragón has no family in Minnesota and coworkers have taken him in, the man's brother said. He has significant memory loss and a long recovery ahead. He won't be able to work for the foreseeable future, and his friends and family worry about paying for his care

1. The man whose skull was shattered told the hospital he'd been struck by ICE officers

DHS doesn’t even bother trying to lie well. The man whose skull was shattered told the hospital he’d been struck by ICE officers, an ICE officer told hospital staff the guy “got his sh*t rocked,” then when it became clear how badly he was injured, they claimed he deliberately ran into a wall.

6. Why do they have to throw every person to the ground?

I don't get that. Where is the violence you are all dressed up for? Show us the resistance that warrants full military web gear? Has one ice person been shot, no so why the bullet proof vests?
It is US Americans that you are fucking with and you better stop soon IMO.

Then they shackled him to the bed, and refused to leave. Staff says they've done this with other people they've injured, and hang around asking other patients and staff for proof of citizenship. Patients should start throwing full bedpans at them.

Mr. Mondragón's family are afraid they won't be able to afford his care. It should come out of ICE's budget.

...that medical professionals can easily tell what caused head trauma.
Localized cracking from a baton looks very different than that from a fall or collision.
I'd bet the trauma is on the back of the head which now requires a handcuffed suspect to be running away backwards fadt enough to cause multiple fractures.
Just more thuggery.

…the problem for DHS is that it also corroborates the criminal conduct they carry out day in and day out.
