one can see that "a city and its people" is a category type which has never won in well over a century. The winners are all individual people (113) or organizations (27).

One of the specific groups/organizations operating in Minneapolis may have a better chance at actually winning just by better fitting into the model the Nobel Committee usually operates with.

The Nation's site says they would submit their nomination by Friday Jan 30, but signing The Nation's petition after that deadline can at least show support.

Nobel Peace Prize site re deadline and process for consideration.
