Democrats demand 'dramatic changes' for ICE on masks, cameras and judicial warrants

As videos and photos of aggressive immigration tactics and high-profile shootings circulate nationwide, agents covering their faces with masks has become a flashpoint. Democrats argue that removing the masks would increase accountability. Republicans warn it could expose agents to harassment and threats.

"State law enforcement, local folks don't do it," said Rep. Bennie Thompson, the top Democrat on the Committee for Homeland Security. "I mean, what's so special about an ICE law enforcement agency that they have to wear a mask?"

There is no logical reason for ICE agents to wear masks. They never wore masks before March of 25 and they don't need to now. The Republican argument that "they fear they will be doxed" is ridiculous. What, are they afraid someone will find out that many of them are completely unqualified or that they may have a very problematic past? These aholes had no problem attempting to dox Renee Good, Alex Pretti and their families and loved ones.

Schumer and Jeffries are not backing down from the removal of masks demand. The only Democrat I have heard that supports ICE agents wearing masks is John Fetterman.

3. We need to abolish the way it is operating

We have always had immigration enforcement officers and we always will. But the only times we have had huge problems with their enforcement tactics have been when the con has been in office. In both of his terms immigration enforcement tactics have been horrendous. There have been other problems through the years. I think George W wanted to abuse the operation as well, but what is happening under the con is fascist, un-American, violent, deadly and completely unacceptable.
