On the day Alex Pretti was killed, with the air filled with tear gas, they found a helper. Someone with her door open.

I have always loved to look for the good. I’ll admit that lately, with this current news cycle, I have gotten away from my favorite thing: highlighting good people doing good things. But when I was in the middle of covering the aftermath of Alex Pretti’s killing, Tracy Wong, owner of My Huong Kitchen, allowed our crew and countless others to escape the tear gas. In the middle of chaos, she chose kindness, and was rewarded by the community coming together to support her - Samie Solina
