Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem should be removed from her post, a majority of U.S. voters said in a new poll.
The Quinnipiac University poll, released Thursday, found that 58% of voters think Noem should be removed from her position after two U.S. citizens were fatally shot by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis last month. Just 34% said she should keep her job, according to the poll.
A strong no confidence vote for the beleaguered top cop at Homeland Security whose agencys job performance is considered dismal enough by voters that she should be let go, Quinnipiac University polling analyst Tim Malloy said in a statement.
The poll also found that Americans do not believe President Donald Trumps administration is telling the truth about the death of Alex Pretti, who was shot and killed by Border Patrol officers last month in Minneapolis.
