(67,906 posts)Why get upset? He's just another big mouth. So what, if he has a guest you'd like to hear from. I figure I might learn something I didn't know. I like to get info from a lot of sources.
and SURPRISE! I don't know everything...

(2,909 posts)I'm interested in watching John Mellencamp. He's one of the founding members of Farm Aid, an organization that began in 1985 with a concert in Champaign, Illinois to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on their land.
Farm Aid concerts have remained an annual event over the past 39 years, and as of 2024 the organization has raised nearly $80 million to promote a strong and resilient family farm system of agriculture.
Along with Mellencamp, this year's festival includes Neil Young (my absolute all-time fave!), Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, Margo Price and more.
Chris Christie and Chrystia Freeland should be good as well.
And of course, the opening and New Rules are always fun.
Thanks for posting!

(252,158 posts)And I do remember learning about Farm Aid ages ago when there was a network special on TV - they sent me a photo of Willie Nelson, of course.
Sounds like a particularly interesting show, I'm looking forward to hearing from Chrystia Freeland as well!

(77,302 posts)For example, he's seemed very uncomfortable with the few Black/minority women he's hosted while supposedly liking girlfriends, besides other minorities - viz, Leslie JONES and Margaret CHO, him very uncomfortable with them.
*** Check out them and other fully realized guest women - Jane FONDA and, yes, Kris JENNER - who magnificently smoothly didn't take his b.s.
