Distraction du jour...the Obama post by tRump

I was really pissed off about his newest "breaking news" early morning rage posting from the White House. Then while I watched Meidas I realized I was being sucked down another attempt at a "Epstein Distraction".

How long ago was Greenland/Iceland?

He is doing anything and everything to distract us from his Epstein crimes.

This is only the beginning....stay alert and do not go down the rabbit hole with the greedy, sadistic psychopath.

1. I refuse to write things off as "distractions"...

It should have been obvious long ago that the regime’s strategy is to commit as many outrages as possible, with the assumption that we’ll be told to ignore most of them as “distractions” from something else.

The fact is that ALL of them are true outrages and ALL of them are distractions at the same time, and trying to get people to turn away from one in favor of focusing on another is the way he gets away with ALL of them.

2. I'm still pissed off. I think everything he does is both a distraction and an end in itself.

Not aimed at you BP, because I understand where you are coming from. But, fomenting racism through hurtful and long abused racist tropes is just as important to Trump’s base as the Epstein files. We must find a way to keep our eyes on multiple distractions because most of them are also part of the plan also. Greenland will come back. NATO is important. Fraud and self-enrichment are important. Human rights and due process are important. Protecting adults and children from abuse by enforcing laws through prosecutions is important. Racial inequality is not a distraction but a principle I grew up thinking would not be an issue as I head towards retirement. Some transparency and accountability for the Epstein related crimes is very important, but denigrating an entire race by giving new life to a tired trope aimed at one of the most successful and revered Black American couples has wide ranging effects, not the least of which is normalizing overt racism. Its message is clear to both people of color and those that hold them with contempt. These overt racist caricatures by their nature dehumanize a race of people while energizing hate. If we are not careful, we may let the Epstein files, which are totally controlled by Trump’s DOJ, distract us from every other action this administration takes to reform our society, its norms, and the world in its elitist, hateful image.

3. I just posted the same thing, almost word for word,

and then after I went on and on I decided to delete most of it from my post since it was the same thing everyone else already knows(at least what I think they already know since they are reading DU in the first place).

I believe that Raygun was the beginning of the end for the USA. Most of the BS we endure today was made possible by him 45 years ago. I am a realist and a misanthrope and have no hope for humans or the USA. Humans destroy, Americans destroy with glee and stupidity.

4. Trump administrations malicious and incompetent statements and actions make it hard to keep focus

Yeah, I often don’t post as I fear I have nothing to add, but am trying to be more active. I think hearing others articulate similar thoughts helps illuminate and bring into focus what I previously could not clearly express. I am thankful to this community for both the illumination and inspiration it provides.

Everyday I forget something that recently vexed or often straight up infuriated me about this administration. While typing, I just remembered Fulton County and Venezuela. I would have to make a notepad list and add items each day to keep up. I just hope enough of us keep on top of enough of these malicious acts that at some point justice prevails.

5. There ARE people who are compiling the lists

of crimes committed by team tRump and I am grateful for that since they are too numerous for me to keep track of. I'd have to do a 5 minute search for the lists compiled by several objective sources but they are ongoing and the list grows and grows.

Now that I think of it I think I'll do that research for myself and keep it up to date. It's verification of what we have experienced and have forgotten about since there are so many more adding to it daily.

On edit: Here is the list from a 30 second search alone...
