The Republicans are going to demand even more cuts once we hit the debt ceiling

Obama should flip them the middle finger if they do this. This whole fiscal cliff is a manufactured crisis created by Republicans because of the last debt ceiling "debate".

Raising the debt ceiling was always thought of as routine. That's why Uncle Sam pays such low interest rates on debt compared to other countries. Everyone, including Wall Street, thought Uncle Sam would be able to pay bills and issue additional debt.

Raising the debt ceiling was routine until the President suddenly had pigment in his skin along with a "D" behind his name. Now the GOP won't do what they did for GWB when he was wasting trillions on fruitless wars and tax cuts for the wealthy.

If the GOP holds the economy hostage again and manufactures another crisis, Obama needs to flip them the middle finger. We could be looking at a government shutdown. Perhaps we should shut down the military first and see the GOPer reaction.

Don't give in to hostage takers.

Ever.

Then the GOP will do anything to get back most of the cuts to the defense budget.
